Krispy Kreme Unveils Three New Doughnuts

Krispy Kreme is rolling out three limited-edition salty/sweet doughnuts for the summer. Krispy Kreme’s Caramel and Chocolate Shop treats feature hand-dipped and handcrafted doughnuts topped with smooth caramel, sweet chocolate and salted pretzels.

The doughnuts include:

Caramel Chocolate Chip Cake – Moist chocolate cake doughnut made with premium cocoa, topped with caramel icing and topped with Ghirardelli® chocolate chips.

Caramel Chocolate Pretzel – Filled with chocolate Kreme blended with premium chocolate sauce, topped with caramel icing, salted pretzels and a caramel drizzle.

Dark Chocolate Caramel Kreme – Filled with smooth Kreme and premium caramel sauce, topped with a dark chocolate icing and a caramel icing twirl.

The doughnuts are available June 24 through September 1, 2013 at participating Krispy Kreme US and Canadian locations.

The Taste Announces Open Casting Call For Season Two

The Taste Casting Call Season 2

ABC’s The Taste is holding open casting call for the second season of the reality competition cooking show. The Taste features coaching teams that include Anthony Bourdain and Nigella Lawson who will coach teams of four competing pro and amateur cooks as they vie to create the best tasting dish.

Competitors face team and individual challenges with a variety of culinary themes through several elimination rounds. At the end of each episode, the mentors judge the competitors’ dishes blind, with no knowledge of whose creation they’re sampling, what they’re eating, how it was prepared or whom they could be eliminating.

I still have tomatos on my trees but the weather is starting to change in New York so my harvesting is almost done.
